Common knowledge, Portuguese people don’t read. Statistics confirm this fact. This being true, opening a bookstore in Lisbon is an adventure. But books are alluring. Even to those that don’t use them.   
Places that have them create a particular atmosphere; it opens a world from the interior of architecture. Today, as digital is a information substitute and simultaneous an object, a disk or a memory of bits, but the ancient habit and the freedom books offer will never die. So the adventure of opening a bookstore in our case is because of passion for what we are selling and for who have interests in getting knowledge, to enjoy images and texts and to share this extraordinary experience in a serious way with others.

Bookstore A+A in the last 12 years have been operating from the headquarters of the Portuguese Architecture XXXXXXX, it opened a space of architecture and art books.
They contain the pleasure and reflection of knowledge that these disciplines generate.

We follow the social and cultural trends in our Portuguese community and we offer constant content and personalized, to share knowledge with our clients, share novelties, having a great selection of good publishers’ books in the various languages, search our catalog for reservations and now we are opening reservations online.

The fundamental objective of ours is to promote multi disciplinary initiatives.
To speak of some, every month architects and artists get together “to talk” about a theme. These “talks” are informal, and everyone is welcome, architects, artists, students, critics and anyone who wants to come, to share the space the bookstore reserves for this environment and it creates interactivity with the theoretic knowledge and the human being. Another important activity for us is our presence in events, with partners who are private or public institutions, where we create “samples” that complement their activity.
